Pentecostal Young Peoples' Association

Saved to Serve

History

PYPA The Pentecostal Young People's Association (PYPA), the youth wing of IPC, was founded in 1947 by a group of Pentecostal college students from U.C. College, Alwaye and Maharaja's College, Trivandrum. Their association was influenced by the various cultural and social activities taking place around state where the Pentecostal students would potentially go astray. It was the need of the hour for these students to be associated for the development of social, cultural, and spiritual development of Pentecostal youth. This created ripples throughout the campuses of Kerala and subsequently in midst of Indian Pentecostal community across the world.

Motto: Saved to Serve

All born again youths can become members of this organization guided by this motto. It also implicates the ultimate purpose of spreading Gospel across the world through our service. Our service is not limited to use our talents, should strive to leap over the boundaries with love and care that soothes the downtrodden on all fronts. Our conviction of service acts as a medium to join in hands with other Pentecostal youth organizations for His kingdom cause. This determination in past days resulted in an unparalleled growth in the Indian Pentecostal youth community across the Indian states, and in other continents. PYPA is the largest Pentecostal youth movement in Pentecostal community and is still on move by the grace of the Lord.

Our Vision and Activities

As the part of the organizational cause, it should be capacitated to extend helping hands to the needy. This organization is to respond appropriately on natural disasters and calamities and take part in other social activities by channelizing the resources effectively. In order to promote creativity of the present and budding generation it should play a pivotal role in publishing their literal activities in magazines, newsletters, websites and prominent networking sites. It is imperative that the spiritual needs of young people are fulfilled by organizing youth meetings, seminars, counseling and other spiritual enrichment programs. It should take necessary steps to reach the unreached. On futuristic side PYPA should spruce up new generation along with Sunday school activities to take up the mantle of leadership in Christian ministry to the best of its ability.

To offer the opportunity for all the church members to participate in PYPA meetings we conduct one PYPA meeting on 4th Friday of every month in addition to the regular schedule of Tuesdays.
