The future of the world is based on the spiritual, moral and social standards of the present growing generation. The purpose of the Sunday school is to extend the supporting hand for the spiritual growth of the children. Christian education through Sunday school is important for the spiritual nurturing of the child. Children learn Bible stories and Biblical values in Sunday school. It also gives them the opportunity to develop their skills and talents for the Lord.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Mathew 19:14.We, the Sunday school teachers, consider it a joy and privilege to serve and pray for our next generation. We believe we can do this by infusing them with faith during this crucial stage of their lives and by helping them to connect biblical principles to their everyday lives.
We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings. The first Sunday School of IPC EBENEZER, Dubai began on 10th February 1989 with few students and teachers on a Friday morning at the Parsonage near clock tower Dubai.
From the humble beginnings, it grew up in numbers and today, by the grace of God and by the valuable prayers of Pastor and Church believers, God has blessed our Sunday school with 50 students and 12 teachers administered by a Head Master and a Patron.Over the past 30 years we’ve had many blessed and dedicated Sunday school teachers, Headmasters, Patrons and Presidents to whom we are truly grateful. Today we have a total of 50 children and 13 teachers.
The dedication and diligent efforts of Teachers over the years, have contributed immensely to the successful running of our Sunday school, leading to the present status. Our Sunday school teachers are committed in working with parents to teach children to know, follow and share Jesus. The teachers strive to provide a creative environment for the children.
The Sunday School of IPC Ebenezer Dubai has enabled children to know the Lord personally in their lives and led them to follow the commandment of the Lord through water baptism and surrender their lives into the hands of the Lord as they progress in life and move onwards into responsible citizens of the world. It is worth mentioning the fact that some of our students are currently pastoring churches in different parts of the world.
